Fall Tours

All Fall Rides will meet at the Park-n-Ride at Harmony Rd and I-25.

Cache La Poudre Ride
Half day ride without lunch

The Cache La Poudre Ride will take you through the route that settlers of Fort Collins took to travel to the upper reaches of the Poudre Canyon. This tour is filled with historical facts about the settlement and construction of the roads to North Park. This tour will pass  overlooks of Horsetooth Reservoir on the way to Bellevue and Pleasant Valley. The tour continues through Livermore on its way up to Red Feather Lakes where we stop to view some of the lakes. We then take a dirt road to Rustic and Highway 14 where we continue up to the canyon to the Arrowhead Lodge. We then head back down the Poudre Canyon and return to Fort Collins.

This ride last 4 to 4 1/2 hours and leaves at 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m

Boulder to Estes Park Ride
Half day ride with lunch

The Boulder to Estes Park Ride takes you past overlooks of Horsetooth Reservoir and Carter Lake on the way through the foothills to Lyons.  From Lyons we continue to Boulder and visit Chautauqua Park to view Boulder's famous Flatirons. From Chautauqua Park, we travel up Boulder Canyon to Nederland. On the way up, we will stop at Boulder Falls and an overlook of Barker Dam. We make a stop for lunch at a restaurant in Nederland. After lunch, we travel on Peak to Peak through the Indian Peaks Wilderness in route to Allenspark and Estes Park. A stop at Lily Lake outside of Estes Park allows for some beautiful mountain vistas. After reaching Estes Park, we head down  the Big Thompson Canyon and back to Fort Collins.

This ride last 6 to 6 1/2 hours and leaves at 9:00 a.m.

Available Sept 15 to June 15.

We then continue down the canyon below Rustic for lunch on the Cache La Poudre river at the Mishawaka Inn. After lunch we continue down the Poudre Canyon and return to Fort Collins 

This ride last 5 1/2 to 6 hours and leaves at 9:00 a.m.

Rivers, Creeks, and Lakes 

Full day ride with lunch

The Rivers, Creeks, and Lakes Ride is a full day ride that explores  more of the Cache la Poudre Canyon and the surrounding Roosevelt National forest. This ride starts  with beautiful overlooks of Horsetooth Reservoir. We then continue through Bellevue and Livermore on our way to Red Feather Lakes to stroll around Bellaire Lake and Dowdy lake. Next we make a stop for lunch at the Potbelly Restaurant in Red Feather Lakes.  After lunch we continue into the Roosevelt National Forest down Deadman road. This will take us through pristine vistas of the mountains and beautiful mountain meadows and valleys.  After reaching the summit of  Deadman Hill at over 10,000 feet , we descend into the Laramie River Valley and continue along the river to Chambers Lake.  We then head down the Cache La Poudre canyon  making stops at various spots along the river on our way back to Fort Collins.

This ride last 7 1/2 to 8 hours and leaves at 9:00 a.m.

Estes Park From 2 Sides Ride
Half Day Ride 
The Estes Park From 2 Sides Ride takes you past overlooks of Horsetooth Reservoir on the way through the old town of Masonville for some some old west picture opportunities. From Masonville we head up the Big Thompson River to Drake and leave the canyon to approach Estes Park from the north after passing Glen Haven. By coming to Estes from this side, we see a view of the park that most visitors never see. We then make a stop at the historic Stanley Hotel. We continue on through the downtown of Estes Park and head east along the St. Vrain River to Lyons where we stop for lunch at a restaurant. We then head back up the South St. Vrain River canyon through the quaint towns of Riverside, Raymond, and Allenspark. After Allenspark,  we continue on to Estes Park from the South with great views of Long's Peak and Mt. Meeker. We stop for a stroll around Lily Lake before heading into Estes Park.
This ride lasts 5 1/2 to 6 hours and leaves at 9:30 a.m.

Search for Aspen Gold Ride
Half day ride without lunch

The Search for Aspen Gold Ride takes you through the Buckhorn and Poudre Canyons. We pass overlooks of Horsetooth Reservoir on the way through the old town of Masonville for some old west photo opportunities. We then head down to Buckhorn Canyon. We take Buckhorn Canyon to the top of Pennock Pass. Depending on the time of year we see beautiful colors on the aspen trees. We head up to the CSU Mountain campus located in Pingree Park. View the back side of the mountains of Rocky National Park. We then leave the Mountain campus and follow the Fish Creek and the South Fork of the Poudre on our way to the Poudre River Canyon. We will follow the main branch of the Poudre back down the canyon to Fort Collins.

This ride last 4 to 4 1/2 hours and leaves at 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
